I’ve been meaning to write this review but was selfishly keeping this West End gem to myself. I eat at this restaurant every chance I get. It’s my go to for breakfast in all of Vancouver. The food is perfectly delicious and consistent which is very hard to do. I’ve never had a meal or mocha that wasn’t 10/10. I get the Deluxe breakfast almost every time, the scrambled eggs are magic and the home made sour dough is rustic, flavourful and perfectly toasted. If you have the chance to go on a weekend the Benny is a MUST! The best part of this place is the staff. HANDS DOWN, the best group of people. They’re warm and welcoming, it’s like having breakfast with friends. Robyn, Ralph, Lorena, Rowan and Veda feel like old friends now. Whoever owns this little place needs to do whatever they can to keep this group of staff happy so they never leave.

amazing lil cafe!! i love the classic breakfast here, the pan fried potatoes were perfect and the scrambled eggs were super delicious the service was great as well and the staff were all very friendly.

I chose this place because of reddit! It was definitely an enjoyable atmosphere. Good music, just quiet enough. It wasn't busy when I arrived, but it filled up very quickly. I ordered the smoked salmon and avocado omelette. Honestly, for 1 more, why wouldn't you? I had the homemade sourdough toast. And a cappuccino. The omelette was perfect. Subtle flavors, and the salmon was very present. The sourdough, although it had a nice crunch, didn't really have a strong sourdough flavor. Also, the juice is not fresh squeezed - be aware before you order. They also couldn't provide a wedge of lemon or lime for my glass of water. The bathroom was very clean and cozy, but not wheelchair accessible. The service was to notch. Very friendly, and very prompt delivery of food.

So yummy and amazing. Great staff and food is always super good. Absolutely love this place. One of my go to breakfast/brunch places. The hot matcha latte was not the best tho. Everything else is great.

Red Umbrella Cafe is one of those wonderful little cafe restaurants you stop in on a whim when visiting a city and are rewarded with a delightful experience. Welcoming and friendly service, a bright and comfortable seating area, and the food? Wow! Delicious, beautifully presented, and a generous portion size. Highly recommended for breakfast or lunch!

Everything's good with this restaurant. The food is great, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is nice. They make great coffee and the breakfast is tasty. I tried the smoked salmon omelette, and I highly recommend it. The fried beans of the veggie bowl are great as well

I love this little place and their weekend brunches. You may have to wait a little though, I wished we could add ourselves to the queue online and in advance. Their portions are HUGE and I love that for a late brunch on a weekend. Last time I was there, bennys were served only on weekends so heads up.

Wonderful wait staff that speak both English and Spanish. Truly enjoyed our time at his spot for breakfast! We ordered a regular breakfast and the eggs Benedict with salmon and the portion size was perfect. If you haven’t been here before you must try this place.
